Abhishek Mathur is working as a Director of Global Research at Amgen and leads externalization operations for Amgen’s Therapeutic Discovery organization. In his role, he works closely with functional teams and drives innovation through creating viable and productive internal and external partnerships. He is passionately driven by technology-led innovation and has himself developed several automated and miniaturized technologies for rapid and high throughput screening needs. Besides Amgen, he has also worked at Regeneron and Catalent wherein he led various CMC functions while supporting Product development & Drug Commercialization. His primary background and interests span across CMC, Operations, and Structured Innovation. Abhishek is a trained Chemical Engineer from IIT Bombay (India), holds PhD degree in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University and has done his MBA from Fuqua School of Business (Duke University).
