Kevin Walsh, a graduate of SETU in Applied Chemistry, is the Founder and CEO of Chemishield. Based out of Waterford, Ireland, Kevin has worked in Life Sciences for over 14 years. Originally starting his career in the labs of MSD as an Analytical Scientist, and having witnessed a deadly chemical accident, Kevin's journey towards developing Chemishield commenced. In order to build a founder-led and founder funded software business, Kevin established a recruitment company, Aphex, servicing the needs of pharma and med device companies in Ireland. Chemishield went into development in 2017 before hitting the market in 2019 with a deployment into Pfizer. Despite the woes of the pandemic, Chemishield is striving towards providing labs with a proactive form of digital technology that addresses all of the pain points of lab waste and chemical inventory management.
